These days, most people like to serve one or more kinds of finger food (bite-size snacks) at their celebrations and parties.

What really matters, however, is the healthiness and quality of these finger foods.

In this article, we’ll share a few finger food recipes made with soy (textured soy protein) so you can prepare an incredibly delicious and healthy plant-based meal and enjoy it with your loved ones at celebrations and on special days.

Soy Spring Rolls

Ingredients:

Soaked soy, as needed

4 teaspoons vegetable oil, plus extra for greasing the pans

1 tablespoon ginger

2 cloves garlic, chopped

4 scallions, chopped

1 1/2 cups finely shredded green cabbage

1 medium carrot, chopped

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1 teaspoon Asian chili-garlic paste

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 large egg white

Instructions:

To make this soy finger food, first preheat the oven to 425°F.

Drain the soaked soy.

Now sauté it with 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil in a small nonstick pan over medium heat for 2 to 4 minutes until crispy.

Then add the ginger, garlic, and onion. Cook until fully fragrant.

Now mix the cabbage, carrot, cilantro, garlic, chili sauce, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, soy sauce, and vinegar together and wrap the mixture in the spring roll wrappers.

Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet and brush them with some vegetable oil and sesame oil.

Now place the baking sheet on the oven rack and let the rolls bake for a full 8 to 10 minutes until golden on top.

You can serve the soy spring rolls with garlic-chili sauce.

Soy-Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients:

Large bell peppers (assorted colors)

Drained soy

1 cup chopped onion

1 cup cooked rice

1 teaspoon salt

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Cut a thin slice from the stem end of each bell pepper so you can hollow it out.

Remove the seeds and membranes. Rinse the inside of the peppers.

If needed, cut a thin slice from the bottom of each pepper so it stands upright.

Sauté the soy in a pan for 8 to 10 minutes.

Now add the rice, salt, garlic, and 1 cup of tomato sauce and continue cooking until done.

Then stuff the peppers with the soy mixture. Stand the peppers upright in a baking dish.

Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the peppers.

Cover tightly with foil. Let them bake for 10 minutes.

Then top with the cheese and enjoy!
